Rescue money shrouded in mystery and
corruption
Families today…our kids and grandkids tomorrow. That’s who
will be hurt by the Wall Street Bailout (formally known as the
Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP).
Here are a few of the lies that were wrapped up in this
piece of legislation:
- We were told there would be
a financial collapse without it…a lie!
- We were told it would buy
bad assets, but it went elsewhere…a lie!
- We were told that there
would be accountability, but no one really knows where all
the money went…proof of another lie.
Now it’s announced that the Treasury Department “overpaid”
part of this bailout by $78 billion.
Is this a criminal or just incompetent? Email your thoughts

Why the plan will prolong our recovery, not hasten
it
Out of fear (“If we do not move swiftly…will be faced with
a catastrophe”), a terrible economic mistake has taken place.
The Bible says “the fear of man is a snare.” Well, the
fear of man’s fear will be an economic snare.
President Obama admitted that the “stimulus bill was really
a ‘spending bill.’” Indeed, the largest spending bill in
our history.
A bill that is:
- Filled
with pork
- Was
supposed to be “targeted,” but is a hodgepodge of spending
for special interests, political pay offs and the pockets of
government unions.
- Was
supposed to be “temporary,” but is driving the budget
deficit to historic heights
- Set
to create about 600,000 new Federal bureaucrats
At $790 billion, it’s enough to give every unemployed
American more than $75,000.
Here are just two consequences of this enormous
spending bill:

In a past issue, I've warned about the liberals in Congress moving to re-impose the unfair “Fairness Doctrine.”
President Reagan stopped the Fairness Doctrine, which gave birth to talk radio and removed a threat to Christian radio.
The Doctrine says if someone gives an opinion on the air, an opposing opinion must then be provided.
Of course, this is impossible. It's an attack on free speech and property rights. And it's meant to silence conservatives on talk radio and Christian programming.
Obama recently said on the campaign trail, “I hope Congress gets to work right away on reestablishing the Fairness Doctrine with the FCC. There needs to be balance on the airwaves again on radio as well as TV and cable.”
Clinton has also supported this change in law.
I guess no one mentioned the liberal bias of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC. And let's not forget about Air America and NPR and the ABC, NBC, CBS radio news departments. Oh, and did I forget the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Boston Globe and most newspapers? Not to mention the liberal blogs! |

Both Christian kids and secular kids (especially those in their 20s) often glorify Che Guevara, even 40 years after his death.
At pro-illegal immigration marches and antiwar demonstrations you'll see his image on signs and shirts. They glorify him with $27 T-shirts and posters. But Che Guevara was at heart a terrorist. Guevara was a...
- Cold blooded murderer
- Castro and Guevara imprisoned a greater percentage of Cuban political and religious people than Stalin did in the Soviet Union
- By percentage of the population, he helped execute more Cubans in the first three years of power than Hitler did in his six years
Guevara wasn't a saint or a martyr. He was a communist killer.
Question for all: Would you wear a T-shirt with Hitler on it? Stalin? Then why Che?
