In the last Republican debate, many were horrified at Congressman Ron Paul's position that U.S. involvement in the Middle East in the last 40 years has given Middle Eastern governments grounds for resentment and that it was the cause of 9/11 (which he didn't say, but the liberal media and Rudy Giuliani claimed he said that).
