John R. Christy, director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a participant in the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which was co-recipient with Al Gore of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, did not attend the event.
It’s unfortunate, but The Weather Channel has opted to take sides on the controversial global warming issue.
In fact, Heidi Cullen of The Weather Channel has said that weather reporters with the American Meteorological Society (AMS) should be stripped of their certification if they disagree with her on the global warming issue.
This intolerance of the contradicting view that recent temperature rises are caused by normal cyclical weather patterns is shocking. Ms. Cullen is attacking every meteorologist who doesn’t agree with her.
Said AMS weatherman James Spann in a post to The Weather Channel:
"I have been in operational meteorology since 1978, and I know dozens and dozens of broadcast meteorologists all over the country.
"Our big job: Look at a large volume of raw data and come up with a public weather forecast for the next seven days. I do not know of a single TV meteorologist who buys into the man-made global warming hype.

Voters elected Jerry Brown based on certain promises. One was his opposition to the frivolous lawsuit against six car manufacturers that his predecessor, Bill Lockyer, started.
Now, after the election, he says that he will continue the costly, wasteful lawsuit. Even the liberal Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union decried the meritless lawsuits.
