Voters elected Jerry Brown based on certain promises. One was his opposition to the frivolous lawsuit against six car manufacturers that his predecessor, Bill Lockyer, started. Now, after the election, he says that he will continue the costly, wasteful lawsuit. Even the liberal Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union decried the meritless lawsuits.
