In a previous issue of Reality Alert we told you about Christopher Rand, a student who was denied full school credit for doing school-required community service at his church rather than for his municipality. The school district has revised its policy to include religious organizations—and Christopher's 70 hours of service will count. This is a great victory for First Amendment rights and stops discrimination against students' religious beliefs. Thanks to Chris for taking a stand. |
